Here's a list of planned features that might be coming to the game.
Some of these are things we didn't get to during the game jam and some are things we discovered from feedback or playtesting after submission.
Playability
- Better Camera Controls - (in active development)
- Annoyed with the camera zooming in to see the player when you don't want it to? A fix is in the works! I'm changing the camera control logic to distinguish between things it should avoid passing through (like the edge of the map) from simple props (like the solar panel on the energy platform). I'm working on a pass through effect for props to replace the annoying camera zooming in those scenarios
- Clearer Tutorial
- There were some things that weren't explained very well, so I'd like to revise some of the tutorial bot text to better explain the following:
- Minions won't spawn until the battle stage
- You or your minions must stand on or walk over platforms to activate them
- Right click your home base to target it to get the option to activate it
- You can press on the speaker icon over the tutorial bot's head for a voice recording of the instructions
- Some items it would be nice to have images or gifs to aid in the explanation
- There were some things that weren't explained very well, so I'd like to revise some of the tutorial bot text to better explain the following:
- Tighter hitboxes
- The Tower and Home Base specifically sometimes obstruct the mouse trying to click on a platform behind it
- Stop attacking through walls
- Revise detection and attack code so that entities can't see through and attack through walls
- Need to revise the navigation so that minions don't try to path through walls either in certain instances
- Better range indication
- Towers should accurately display range for a target at a different elevation
- Selecting the Home Base should display all buildable areas
- Hotkey to select Home Base
- In case you get stuck and need to go back to the garage
Content
- Upgrade platforms
- Platforms that the minion or player can walk across to automatically spend energy on upgrades for that entity e.g. +1 attack for every minion that walks across the platform
- Wall Variations
- Rotatable Walls, Corner walls , T and Cross Junction walls etc.
- Gates? Walls that only certain entities can pass through
- Rotatable Walls, Corner walls , T and Cross Junction walls etc.
- Traps
- Platforms that harm or de-buff an enemy that walks across it
- More Levels (Bigger Levels?)
- 3 certainly isn't enough
- More stats?
- Introduce Defense and Attack/Production Speed and applicable upgrades
